Ever picked up your phone to see that Google Play is auto-updating app after app, whilst your data allowance evaporating into thin air? We'll show you how to prevent this and allow Google Play to update apps only when you want it to.
As a general rule, apps you've installed from Google Play will download updates automatically (called auto-update apps) in order to improve their performance on your tablet or smartphone. Generally speaking, this is a good thing, but it can also slow down your phone, use up your mobile data or stop you from doing other things on your device. This is where manually updating apps can become more practical.

How to disable auto-update apps in Google Play
![Installing Installing](https://androidpcreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/How-to-set-up-your-Android-TV-box-1024x512.jpg)
1. Open the Google Play Store app and tap on the 3-bar menu icon on the top left. Then scroll down and choose Settings.
2. In the Play Store settings, tap Auto-update apps.
3. You'll see three options (which can be changed at any time): Do not auto-update apps, Auto-update apps over any network (using your data) and Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only.
4. Choose the bottom one. Freedos download. Note that this means you will always need to manually update all apps in the future. If you still want apps to update automatically, just not on your data connection, select Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only.
How to manually update apps in the Play Store
1. If you've told the Play Store not to auto-update apps, you'll have to do it manually. To manually update an app, you must go to My apps & games in Google Play, open the navigation drawer and select it (from the 3-bar button next to the search bar).
2. You will be shown a tab view of your apps: the ones currently installed on your device and a master list of every app you've ever downloaded. In the Installed list, you'll see the apps are broken up into categories: Updates, Recently updated and Up-to-date.
3. Apps with updates available are listed at the top. You can choose to install them one at a time or all of them with the Update All button at the top.

CS:GO connect problem with Plays.tv
Hey!
Sg7100a signal generator. Around three weeks ago I installed Plays.tv and used it as my 'recodring-tool'. I recorded some plays and uploaded them on Plays.tv. Now, I want to connect my main CS:GO Account with my Plays.TV Client/Account but I do not receive the 'connect' window in the client.
Last week i played with my smurf-account and the 'connect window' appeared. I pressed 'identify' (or something like that) and used the new 'recodring-stuff' (it shows where i killed someone etc.). I diconnected the CS:GO (my smurf) with Plays.tv again and logged into my main account but now the 'connect windows' wont appear. The sad story about it is, that if i start my smurf CSGO/Steam-Account and start CS:GO, the Plays.tv (client) asks me to connect this account.
Why it just can connect to this specific account?
I read some threads in your forums and I think they (all who have problems with connecting csgo) all have the same issue.
I hope you guys can help me
EDIT1: Check this 'Errors' straight outta 'playstv.log' pastebin-link. This Errors looks like the client trys to 'fetch' the Account-data (like id, friends, etc) of my account but gets an error while doing it. Those id's and names are from my friendlist (mainaccount).
So, it looks the client cant fetch the information about my CS:GO-Main-Account. I started steam with my smurf account again and started CSGO. Immediately after starting CS:GO, the 'hey pls identify your account' window appears. In the Log its this tiny piece of information:
my local time: (5436) DEBUG: MainThread: CounterStrikeGO::_setCurrentIdent(): current identity set to Class [CSGOIdentity] - source_name [csgo] - id [hereIsTheSmurfId] - zone []
So, i assume the window (connect invite) wont appear cause the client cant fetch all of the necessary data from my main account. I guess there are code-snippets like 'substring(startOfString(), '') but the fetch methods get errors, cause some players use ' and other special characters in their names.
EDIT2: I made it! Okay it was actually the problem with the player on my friendlist aká 'Name':'1895'. I guess in your sourcecode is a codesnippet that is fetching data (and uses them) with the power of a 'substring'-Method. This method simply uses ' as searchparameter but since valve let players use those parameters, your client gets some errors.
How to solve this problem?
-
Patch your code :P :P
-
or: tell the players, that they need to delete their friends with '' in their names - if they get any errors/problems.
EDIT3: i really love this program! the only negative thing i can tell about it is, that the embeded version of plays.tv in 'Raptr' doesnt support this cs:go connect yet and if my computers starts Rapr and Plays.tv (the stand alone client), i get a systemalert because both 'plays.tv's' are running. Simply integrate all features into the Raptr client and i will never use other tools :D :D + Add the hardware based video recording like Nvidias NVENC or AMD VCE/AMF. This would (especially in csgo) give some higher FPS rates because the coding would happen in the GPU, not CPU.
tl;dr if you wont get the 'connect window' when you play csgo while using plays.tv, than on of your friends is 'blocking' it because he uses special characters in his name. When plays.tv trys to fetch the datas (they fetch your friends accounts), they receive errors and just abort the mission of the 'connect window'
